I’m D.C. based product designer who thrives off of thoughtful, strategic, and inclusive design while empowering others around me. I currently lead design at Betterup helping others on the journey towards personal and professional growth. Prior to that I was at 15Five and Vox Media where I worked in performance management and publishing tools. Within the design community I help co-organize RefreshDC and actively mentor emerging designers. In my free time I'm probably redecorating or perfecting my shawarma recipe.

There’s countless ways to approach design. Here’s a few of my top philosophies when approaching any project.
Simple solutions driven by thorough process
I am a problem solver by heart. I grew up enamored by puzzles and brain teasers and I'm most energized when helping users navigate through complex systems by breaking it down into easier and scalable solutions. With my experience leading multiple projects, I've learned the importance of working through every step of the process carefully and proactively to ensure success.
Design for everyone, with empathy
User health and responsibility is at the top of my design checklist when approaching any problem. I always ask myself if a product I'm creating can do any harm or be used in unethical ways when working through ideas. Ensuring that I'm creating as inclusive as a product as I can by empathizing with users is what I strive for.
The value of teamwork
Building strong partnerships across my team and company has always made me a more aware and informed designer. I always look for collaborative opportunities and identifying cross-functional partners early on so everyone can be a part of the solution.
